Better Eating Awarded Effective Animal Advocacy Grant!
We’re excited to announce that Better Eating International has been selected as a grant recipient of Animal Charity Evaluators’ Effective Animal Advocacy Fund! This new fund supports ACE’s recommended charities as well as other potentially impactful programs or interventions that they believe show promise and are worthy of funding, including speculative or early-stage programs. The $50,000 grant will support our next round of content production and metric development for upcoming key audiences.
One of the key missions of Animal Charity Evaluators is to aid compassionate givers, professionals, and volunteers in making informed decisions about how to help animals as effectively as possible. Says Michael Webermann, Better Eating’s Strategic Director, “We are humbled and honored to be one the first-ever recipients of ACE’s Effective Animal Advocacy Fund. Since our founding, we have agreed with ACE that influencing a reduction in consumption of animal products can make a large difference when applied on a large scale, saving many animals at a fraction of the cost of most other interventions.”
According to ACE, “We are interested in learning more about the impact of their work to target very specific audiences with messages meant for them. Better Eating International applied for funding to support content creation and we hope that this grant helps them to reach people who have been historically underserved by the animal advocacy movement and that we’re able to learn from this about how to more effectively target animal advocacy.”
